widow’s thrill

Wondering why somebody
named this flower
widow’s thrill …

Where’s the thrill …
Where’s the widow …

perhaps it is prepared
as a kind of food
for soon to be
deceased
husbands?

  1. I had never heard of this flower before – you gave me food for botanical research 😉 These are particularly lovely, and, were I widowed, I could totally derive great comfort in their promise of a very tender renewal, of sorts. Great photo, Bert.
