a closer look

identifying …
the fear

watching …
the maelstrom of thoughts
that fear started

seeing …
thought taking over
from fear and
getting lost in
endless stories and possibilities

realizing …
that getting absorbed
in something else
might stop
the noxious chatter

taking the camera
editing the pictures

putting …
into proper perspective:
where did fear go?
what was that all about?

  1. I experienced something like this just last week. Yes, where did that fear go? Was it absorbed and reconciled within, or have I just become too busy to give it air time…

Great composition and meaning behind your words Bert – the unfolding of the internal journey.

  2. Yes, isn’t it interesting. I don’t usually dwell on such things, but from time to time, I surely find myself on that endless loop. And you are right, just getting busy with something is key to stopping that mindless chatter.
