inspiration and creativity

Inspiration starts with a feeling of awe.
Awe makes me speechless,
in fact all of us,
for just one moment.

That moment,
if you cherish that moment
and listen to that Silence,
that moment will then
bring you to the inspiration.

Inspiration needs to be followed by ‘the flow’ or ‘the zone’.
The ‘zone’ is that place where the creative mind takes the freedom,
all the freedom it has access to, to create what it was inspired to.

Between Inspiration and Flow,
there is a cool down period.
Somehow, in the background,
some subconscious processes
are chewing on the inspiration,
turning it inside out,
and  putting different light sources,
lighting it up from many different angles.

Now and then that process becomes conscious
where the mental engine rationalizes,
conceptualizes and decides
upon one or the other road to follow.

Finally, there has to be
a moment of ‘NOW’
to start working.

If you are lucky
and nobody disturbs you,
the zone will soon follow.

What is inspiration?
How does it interrupt my brain?
Is it related to the ‘long distance connection’.

Who is it that identifies?

Who or what
is in the flow,
in the zone?

  1. mmm, Bert. I don’t think too much about it lately, I just do. Since I could think forever, and as a final result…I did nothing but thinking about the “Who’s, the What’s & the Zones”.
